A project founded in 2018 by Zu-zu, a multidisciplinary artist who’s dream was to create a couture brand from a very young age
“The art is my way to cope with feelings, I turn rage and resentment into colourful peaceful paintings, jealousy and desperation into bright wearable pieces of textures, shapes and shades dancing together, loneliness and sadness into calming melodies.”
”Maison” means “house” or “home” in French, I’m inviting to my safe space, the world where you can become a magical creature
“Zu-zu” is the abbreviation of my grandmother’s Arabic name “Zubida” and I’m so proud being called after her
She is a native North African – Amazigh is the endonym, the civilization known for the love of different crafts, such as pottery, silver jewelry, hand painted colorful clothing, different musical instruments, ancient tattoos and I love the fact women are the culture carriers due to the matriarchal society system

Nature is my biggest inspiration, I adore the lines and patterns I see and I repeat it in my imagination combining with real materials and transforming into wearables.
Multicultural background allows me to express lots of symbols through colors and shapes, sometimes I notice similarities to cultural clothing after my item is made.
It’s very important for me to materialize my ideas even if not many people sees beauty of it.
I was looking for love in people but found my love of working with hands.
